How I Work – Natural Documentary Wedding Photography
To check if I’m available for your wedding and to arrange a time to have a chat about your day, just send me a message via my contact page, email me: firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call on 07543 604 269.
I would describe what I do as natural, documentary wedding photography; I take a relaxed, reportage style approach to my work, so that you can enjoy the day without fussing over photos and still have beautiful images to share and remember. I shoot weddings because I enjoy the buzz from being challenged with new locations, new people and new stories to tell. My approach is sincere and my honest wish is simply for you to have some gorgeous photos.
Once you’ve booked…
Once we’ve touched base and had a chat about the details of your wedding, you’ll have the chance to do a complementary Engagement shoot with me. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other a little better and for those who are nervous about having their photo taken, it can help you to feel more confident and at ease on the Wedding day. You can also use these images for your invitations or for the guest book or sign in if you wish.
On the day I’ll be mostly in the background like a laid back guest. I won’t intrude so you feel uncomfortable, but I also won’t hide in the bushes like a paparazzi. My aim is that you and your guests feel at ease in my presence, because when someone is at ease they are their most natural and honest and often their most beautiful. I’ll chat with you and your guests, observing and documenting real moments – smiles – tears – worry – excitement – laughter – joy. The story of your day.
I’m usually with you for a full day from 10-12 hours in total, from getting ready to the first dance. After your wedding I’ll process a small preview of images within a week and will publish them online for you to share with family and friends. Within four weeks all your images will be processed and edited, ready for you to preview and I’ll also have an album draft for you to proof. If you’ve ordered a CD, I’ll post that to you at this point. The album will be ready and delivered to you after an additional four weeks maximum.
I do tend to get involved and feel for the nervous bride, get butterflies watching proud and teary parents and have on occasion shed a tear during speeches. I really feel blessed to be allowed into this window of your life. So please feel free to contact me for more information – I’d love to hear from you!
At every stage I’m available for questions or if you need to update me with any details concerning your wedding. If you haven’t already done so, please take a look at my wedding portfolio to see examples of my previous work.
